Happy 2020 Ya'll,

I hope your new year is off to a great start. I am just home from two weeks in California. There is a lot of things going on this year for me. For one, I am scheduled to graduate from Starr King School of the Ministry in May. I hope to become an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister.

The People's Orchestra is in its' fifth year this year and I am continuing to be their Artistic Director. What does this all mean for my music? Well, it frankly just increases the places where I can perform and the kind of social justice work I can accomplish. I am working on a new CD and hopefully, it will get to you later this year.

February has two shows you might want to catch in the Austin area. I will be playing both with the incredible violinist and back up vocalist Anna Joy Harris. Feb 1st is a house concert in Cedar Park and on Feb 21st we will be opening for the amazing Lucie Blue Tremblay Trio at Live Oak UU. All ticket info is up on the store page. Advance tickets for both shows are strongly recommended.

In March, Stealin Horses will be performing a 35th anniversary Reunion show as part of the University of Kentucky Appalachian Studies Conference March 12th. This is a full band show and more details are coming.

I will be preaching and singing all over from Greenville, SC, Corpus Cristi, Victoria, Plano and Houston as well as Atlanta and South Florida.  Please check my tour page for more details.

Please make sure you are registered to vote in November. We need you!

I hope I see you down the road.

Cheers,

Kiya
